HURRICANE HELENE UPDATE:
We are choosing to post on this page all of the people who we currently know are safe. If you do not see someone’s name who you think may have been affected, we are trusting that they are safe and like most, do not have cell service at this time. With communications facilities so damaged in the wake of Helene, it is difficult to receive word from friends we believe are safe, but who cannot yet check in. We are maintaining a list of all we have confirmed safe, and each day we will add to our post any new names that we hear from. We will do this as often as twice a day. As we learn of needs that might be able to be met by our community we will let you know. If you know someone not listed here who is safe, please contact Corey@Hadeninstitute.com with their name.

The Haden community is rallying around all who are dealing with the
aftermath of this storm. As the days, weeks and months go on, we will
determine how we can best help and pitch in.

A Haven for Seeker
Transformational Teachings and Creative Embodiment
in the Jungian Mystical Christian Tradition
Spiritual Direction • Dream Work
If you are seeking a place:
- To learn practices, develop skills, and gain confidence to companion others through Spiritual Direction or Dream Work
- That is a welcoming community focused on connection with the Holy,
the numinous, God, and the Divine Wisdom within - To learn and integrate the principles of Jungian psychology
- For developing or reawakening creative energy through poetry, movement, collage, painting, or other expressions
- To have deeper conversations about inner life experiences, meaning and purpose, mystery and the Divine so that day-to-day life and relationships are more wholehearted and authentic
You have found it! This is what the Haden Institute is all about.
Haden’s learning experience is unique. It is a braid of lectures, reading assignments, and practice sessions to inform and stretch the intellect; contemplative practices, creative expression, embodiment practices, and ritual to expand intuition and creativity. The most important thing we teach is that spiritual maturity and psychological individuation come through deep inner work. We learn to do this work ourselves so that we can accompany others as they do this same sacred soul work. Our goal is for each person touched by the psycho-spiritual teachings we offer to take their transformation into the world, bringing greater compassion, health, and wholeness to larger communities.
There are no prerequisites for the training courses or the Conference. If you have an attraction or a curiosity, we invite you to join us in the offering that best fits your interests.

Embracing the Divine Within: Discovering Spiritual Direction at the Haden Institute
Soul work, like being born, moves through the dark. Spiritual direction is to hold space and time for the one who is giving birth and for the one who is being born. For thousands of years mystics have discovered and refined practices that develop a relationship to God (or Spirit or Presence) and that deepen this connection within an individual.
Greetings of Gratitude from Megan Lyon, Iona Pilgrimage Leader
Greetings Haden Friends, As Thanksgiving approaches I have a deep awareness of the gratitude I have for the Haden Institute community. To have such compassionate soulful seekers to call friends is one of the greatest riches of my life. We provide rest for each other’s souls, present attention for each other’s stories, and encouragement for […]
Welcoming new faculty to the Haden Institute
The Haden Institute has always been known for the quality of our teachers. We continue to deepen and enrich our offerings by welcoming these new faculty. I am grateful they each said, “yes.”
AT HADEN WE ARE:
From all walks of life
Participants from a variety of faith traditions find a home at Haden, including those who are searching for a new or different way to encounter the numinous. Clergy, therapists, healthcare professionals, social workers, and others interested in spirituality and dream work join us.
Seeking
Whether to expand on work they are already doing or to add new skills, our participants come with a desire to understand themselves better and accompany others on the same journey of discovery.
Together
We welcome participants from all around the world into our in-person and virtual communities, offering inclusion, connection, and compassion.
