Official Rules for the Haden Institute Scholarship Sweepstakes

By entering this Sweepstakes, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined in these Official Rules. This Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited.
Eligibility
The Haden Institute Scholarship Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, who are at least 18 years old at the time of entry. Employees, officers, directors, and agents of Haden Institute, its affiliates, subsidiaries, and their immediate families are not eligible to enter or win.
Sponsor
The Sweepstakes is sponsored by Haden Institute and Spirituality & Health- A Unity Publication (the “Sponsors”), located at 91 Tacoma Circle Asheville, NC 28801 and Unity World Headquarters 1901 NW Blue Parkway Unity Village, MO 64065-0001
Agreement to Official Rules
By entering, you fully and unconditionally agree to and accept these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Sweepstakes. Winning the scholarship is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.
Entry Period
The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00 AM on December 19, 2024 and ends at 11:59 PM on July 31, 2025 (the “Entry Period”). Entries received before or after the Entry Period will not be considered. Sponsor’s computer is the official timekeeping device for the Sweepstakes.
How to Enter
To enter, participants must complete the online application form available at https://www.hadeninstitute.com/scholarship during the Entry Period. Participants must also be a subscriber of Spirituality & Health- A Unity Publication. The form requires the following information:
- Full Name
- Email Address
- Phone Number
There is a limit of one (1) entry per person. Duplicate entries will be disqualified. Incomplete entries or those submitted through unauthorized methods will not be eligible.
Winner Selection and Notification
On or about August 1, 2025 one (1) winner will be selected through a random drawing from all eligible entries received during the Entry Period. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries.
The potential winner will be notified via email or phone within five (5) business days of the drawing. The potential winner must respond within seven (7) calendar days of the notification to claim the scholarship. Failure to respond within the specified time will result in forfeiture of the prize, and an alternate winner may be selected.
Scholarship Prize
The prize consists of:
- A scholarship to be applied directly toward the winner’s tuition at The Haden Institute
The prize will be issued in the form of direct payment to the educational institution. No cash payout or substitution is allowed. The scholarship is non-transferable and must be used within one (1) academic year of award issuance.
General Conditions
The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Sweepstakes if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond its reasonable control impairs the integrity of the Sweepstakes, as determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion. The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process, the operation of the Sweepstakes, or acting in violation of these Official Rules.
The recipient is responsible for determining the tax implications of the scholarship based on its intended use. Sponsors do not provide tax advice, and recipients are encouraged to consult with a tax professional.
Release and Limitations of Liability
By participating in the Sweepstakes, you agree to release, discharge, and hold harmless the Sponsor, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use of the scholarship, including, but not limited to:
- Unauthorized human intervention in the Sweepstakes
- Technical errors related to computers, servers, or communications
- Errors in the administration of the Sweepstakes
The Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, or incomplete entries or communications.
Privacy
Any personal information collected in connection with the Sweepstakes will be used solely for the purpose of administering the Sweepstakes and in accordance with the Sponsor’s Privacy Policy, available at https://www.spiritualityhealth.com/privacy-policy.
Publicity
By accepting the scholarship, the winner consents to the Sponsor’s use of their name, likeness, and biographical information for promotional purposes in any media without further payment or consideration, except where prohibited by law.
Disputes
All disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively by the appropriate court located in North Carolina. The Sweepstakes and these Official Rules shall be governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
Winner List
For a list of winners, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to 91 Tacoma Circle Asheville, NC 28801 within four (4) weeks of the end of the Entry Period.
