The Haden Institute was founded in 1994, to educate participants about the transformational gifts of spirituality and Jungian psychology. Our offerings have evolved over the life of the Institute, but the formative belief that spirituality and Jungian principles are complementary on the transformational path to health, wholeness, spiritual maturity, and individuation remains. Because of this belief, the core tenets of Jungian psychology are a primary focus in our 2-year Spiritual Direction and Dream Work Training Courses, as well as our Summer Dream and Spirituality Conference. Despite Jung’s medical training and interest in science, his teachings focus on the soul – the sacred work of individuation. At Haden, our teachings and practices focus on the inherent worthiness of every person and their ability to live fully into who they are created to be. In our courses we honor this “wisdom from within” by meeting each participant where they are and teaching methods for accompanying others as they seek this wisdom. Experiential learning, group work, ritual, creative expression, and embodiment, along with large group lectures and self-study include mind, body, and spirit in the work done at Haden.
