Spiritual Direction Training

This two-year course is for Professionals and Individuals who want a deeper spiritual life. The purpose of this training program is four-fold:
- To train and certify people to be Spiritual Directors in the Jungian, Mystical, Dream, and Christian Tradition
- To help professionals and others integrate the spiritual dimension into their chosen vocation
- To honor lay and ordained Spiritual Directors
- To offer Spiritual Direction Training that is open to the wisdom of all faith traditions, east and west
There are three four-day weekend intensives per year in residence at Kanuga Conference Center, Hendersonville, NC. The remainder is distance learning. Entry times are March 1 and September 1 of each year.
The Program is Designed For:
- Therapists who want to integrate a spiritual dimension to their counseling
- Ministers who want to deepen this aspect of their ministry, and/or lead Dream Courses in their church
- Twelve Step Workers who want to increase their spiritual skills and wisdom
- Judges and Lawyers seeking spiritual dimension in their decisions and life
- Nurses, physicians, hospice workers, and medical personnel looking for a closer connection to the spiritual dimension of healing
- Business and Political leaders who want to be more grounded as servant leaders
- Persons who wish to have a primary vocation or avocation as a Spiritual Director
- Individuals who want to take their spiritual life more seriously

The dream, the Labyrinth, the Jesus Breath Prayer, Desert Spirituality, Celtic Spirituality, Enneagrams, Typology, Centering Prayer, Guided Meditation, Journaling Writing, Mythology, Fairy Tales, Poetry, Silence and Ritual, the Holy Grail, and Dante’s Divine Comedy.
Grounding In
Spiritual Discernment, Jungian Psychology, The Feminine Face of God, Group Spirituality, Care of the Soul, Mind/Body, Other Religions, and the best in Literature, Tapes and Video.
Teaching and Certification
Methods of teaching include: Didactic, Experiential, Case Study, Dialogical and Meditative. A certificate will be awarded upon successful completion. CEU’s available (NBCC and NASW).

Cost - beginning 2011
- Application Fee: $100 (non-refundable)
- Tuition: $1860 per year (due in equal payments of $465)
- Room & Board for each Intensive (2011 rates - $375 for a double room and $505 for a single room)
